Experience Works Participant Employment

CPCA is proud to participate in the Experience Works Program. Through this program, older Pennsylvanians with valuable work experience are paired with charitable organizations. A volunteer position is set up with the organization but the participants are paid a wage through Experience Works. The charitable organization benefits from the participants experience and help Pennsylvanians over 55 contribute to the community while earning a wage. If interested, please contact the Experience Works program.

Work Ready

The Work Ready program provides outreach services to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients to help them participate in Pennsylvania’s welfare reform program for helping welfare clients move into the workforce and become self sufficient. Services include building skills required to acquire and retain employment such as appropriate attire, interpersonal communication skills, etiquette in the work environment and setting goals to overcome barriers to employment i.e. childcare and transportation. Individuals also participate in community service. All referrals for the program are made by the County Assistance Offices (CAO) in Centre and Clearfield counties.
